What we are looking for in a Solar PV Installer

 

You should be:
● A hard working quick learner who is unafraid of heights, great with their hands and able to work safely and efficiently, using all required PPE
● A team player, with the ability to effectively communicate with others
● Able to read drawings and apply NEC code requirements
● Able to work overtime and travel overnight to jobsites and other company branches
● Excited about solar energy and its future


You should have:
● Experience in various types of construction, ideally in electrical work
● A willingness to learn, grow and engage in creative problem solving
● Ideally, training in testing and troubleshooting of PV solar systems
● A valid driver’s license, with a good or clean driving record
● OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR training and certification, or willingness to obtain
● An Associate’s degree or certificate from a trade school, or equivalent experience

About our Solar PV Installer position


As a Service Technician, you are a key part of our team and work as a member of our O&M department to use test equipment such as meggers, PV check and IV-curve tracers, clamp-on amp meters and digital multi-meters, to evaluate system performance, troubleshoot and resolve poor or non-performing issues on solar systems, installed by us or other solar installers. Our Service Technicians are valued members of the Paradise Energy Solutions’ team, and they are an integral part of helping us continue to build our reputation as being industry-leading experts in solar energy and one of the “Best Places to Work in PA.”  You will be part of a thriving team atmosphere that likes to have fun, will root for your success, and challenge you to grow.
