Based in Bradford County, PA, the family-owned McNeal Grain has built its business on self-reliance. With the energizing of their 74.4 kW solar energy system, the first three-phase solar project with Claverack REC in PA, Ralph, and Myra McNeal will carry this core value forward for many years.

Investing in solar allows the McNeal’s to produce their own electricity while also cutting energy costs, gaining a revenue stream, and guarding their bottom line against rising energy costs. “We invested in solar because it provides a great tool to cut costs, pay fewer taxes, and it provides shelter from future price volatility,” stated Ralph McNeal, one of the owners of McNeal Grain. “We expect the system to be paid for in 8-10 years,” added Mr. McNeal.

The process of installing the 186 solar panels was a breeze. “The process of working with Paradise Energy Solutions was very smooth,” Ralph McNeal added. “Our son (Fred) already had solar at his business, and he has helped with numerous other solar projects in the Bradford County area.” Having Fred’s expertise was a big help.
