Gingrich Builders, a log home construction company based in Ephrata, PA, installed a 24.25 kW roof-mounted solar system.
The solar system, installed by Paradise Energy Solutions in the spring of 2020, was designed to offset 100% of Gingrich Builders’ electric usage. With an annual production of 24,637 kWh, this solar installation is expected to offset 22 tons of CO2 emissions or save 525 trees.
Bruce Gingrich, the owner of Gingrich Builders, expressed his satisfaction with the solar project, stating, “We’ve been happy with it ever since. Sheldon had stopped by and made us aware that our roof angle and the direction of the sun were ideal for installing solar panels. After reviewing the statistics and figures, it just made sense to proceed with the project.”

“The system has performed exactly as it was sold, and we’re thankful for that,” stated Gingrich. “If there was another business looking at solar, I would definitely recommend it. It’s been good. It does help in the cost of the electric, obviously, and we get a rebate every year. I highly recommend it. It helps to offset the overhead cost of electricity with the increase in electric rates. It was worth the investment, especially with the tax credit for the first year, which was very nice. I would do it again.”
