Watertown, New York dairy farm, Murrock Farms, installed a 104.88 kW solar energy system on the roof of one of their equipment sheds. The 304 solar panels offset roughly 50% of the electricity used to run their fully automated milking facility.

Solar for Dairy Farms in Northern New York
Dairy operations are strong solar candidates because milking, cooling, and ventilation run every day of the year. Murrock Farms’ 304-panel system was sized to offset about half the electricity of a fully automated milking facility, using equipment-shed roof space that was otherwise idle. It joins a growing set of agricultural solar projects we have installed across New York.
