SALISBURY, Maryland— With a current annual build rate of 33.9 megawatts (MW) in the past year, and a SREC required 54 MW approximate build rate in 2014, Maryland’s solar industry is set to grow. The Eastern Shore has seen significant growth since Paradise Energy Solutions entered the market in 2010. Paradise Energy Solutions has installed 6.86% of the solar installations since 2010, building 11.82% of the projects under 1 MW.

Paradise Energy Solutions, with numerous NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professionals on staff, has installed a large percentage of the installation in many Eastern Shore counties. From March 2010 to July 2014, Paradise Energy Solutions has installed 25% of the total kilowatts of solar installed in Worcester County, 22.6% of total kilowatts in Wicomico County and 8.9% in Talbot County.

Note: As of July 1, 2014, only companies with NABCEP certified employees will have the ability to apply for Maryland Energy Administrations commercial and residential clean energy grant programs.
