About the Service Technician/Solar PV Installer position

Our Service Technician/PV Solar Installer is a highly valued member of the Paradise Energy Solutions’ team, and they are an integral part of helping us build our reputation as being industry-leading experts in solar energy and one of the “Best Places to Work in PA.”

 

Service Technician/Solar PV Installer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Using testing equipment such as meggers, PV check and IV-curve tracers, clamp-on amp meters and digital multi-meters, to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot and resolve poor and/or non-performing issues on previously installed solar systems
  • Working as a member of an installation crew to install ground-mount and roof-mount solar systems on our customers’ job sites, including site preparation as well as mechanical and electrical work related to the installation of those systems

What we are looking for in a Service Technician/Solar PV Installer

You should be:

  • A hard working quick learner who is unafraid of heights and working with electricity, great with their hands and able to work safely and efficiently, using all required PPE
  • A team player, with the ability to effectively communicate with others
  • Able to read drawings and apply NEC code requirements
  • Able to work overtime and travel overnight to jobsites and other company branches
  • Excited about solar energy and its future

You should have:

  • Experience in various types of construction including electrical work
  • A willingness to learn, grow and engage in creative problem solving
  • Training and experience in both testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
  • A valid driver’s license, with a good or clean driving record
  • OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR training and certification, or a willingness to obtain
  • An Associate’s degree or certificate from a trade school, or equivalent experience
